Overview
Designed to equip early childhood professionals with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to shine during Assessment and
Rating and work towards Exceeding the National Quality Standard (NQS). Day one focuses on unpacking the National Quality Framework, refining skills in critical reflection, implementing the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) V2.0, and strengthening core practices such as programming, supervision, transitions, and relationship building. Day two takes educators further, exploring the three Exceeding themes and providing deep dives into all seven Quality Areas, with real-life exceeding examples for every standard. Whether you're preparing for your next Assessment and Rating visit or aiming to raise the bar across your service, this weekend offers targeted, practical guidance to support ongoing quality improvement.
What Early Childhood Educators Will Learn:
Over the two days, educators will develop a comprehensive understanding of how to meet and exceed the National Quality Standard with clarity and confidence. They’ll explore how to critically reflect on their practices, document with purpose, and implement the planning cycle in line with the EYLF V2.0. Educators will also refine their approach to active supervision, transitions, and interactions that nurture strong relationships with children and families. On day two, they'll dive deep into the Exceeding themes—embedded practice, informed by critical reflection, and meaningful engagement with families and communities—while gaining practical, real-world examples for each Quality Area. This training not only supports successful Assessment and Rating outcomes but also inspires educators to deliver high-quality, thoughtful, and responsive early childhood education every day.
